Where attachment begins
We begin by listening.
Listening to how people live with objects,
and listening to what the material and the form aspire to be.
Rather than imposing shapes or reducing design to mere function and data,
we allow form to emerge with its own character.
Every natural form has its reason.
Yet no single shape is simply “correct”; each emerges,
refined by its own organic order and expressing its own intention in the world.
Forms that emerge with such character invite relationships, not just use.
This is where true attachment begins.

moifani was born from an unlikely dialogue: a furniture manufacturer from Okawa
— the town that has shaped Japanese woodworking for generations
— and an industrial designer whose first language was cameras.
Together, SHIKI and SATEREO make solid-wood furniture that begins with
observation and ends with craft: precision-formed, hand-finished, and built to last a lifetime.
