Compared to the whitish color of ash, China tree is orange in color and, although they are both hardwoods, China tree is a fast-growing tree and is lighter in weight.
In addition, although the domestic timber, Chinawood, is a rare material at present, it is a fast-growing tree that could realize a sustainable cycle in the next 10 to 20 years, and it is thought that we will gradually move towards an environment where we can ensure a stable supply.
We at SHIKI are one of the many companies participating in the group called the Regional Timber Development Committee, which is promoting the China Melon Project.
