A tree planting festival was held at Greenpia Yame in Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture as part of the activities of the Fukuoka-Okawa Furniture Industrial Association's "Local Wood Development Committee."

This skinny tree-like branch is a China tree sapling.
I was surprised because it was different from the image of a seedling I usually see, but apparently it's just fantasy (laughs).
It's true that if it were a real seedling, it probably wouldn't look that spectacular.
The Chinatia tree planting initiative, which has been ongoing since 2018 as a local timber development project, is said to be a unique activity in the world in which consumers, home builders and construction companies, furniture makers and retailers, forestry associations and local governments come together to plant trees.
SHIKI will also be participating in this wonderful project.
Two members of SHIKI immediately went to the tree planting ceremony, and there were many people in attendance, including members of the local timber development committee, the forestry association that cooperated with us, and even the deputy mayor of Yame City. Including students from Yanagawa High School, the number of people on the day was over 50.
By actually experiencing this, I was able to strongly feel that "I am currently working towards the future of the Earth."
"As I touched the soil and trees in nature, I felt the strength of the earth once again, and when I got tired of digging, I looked up to see a beautiful blue sky and the deep green of the forest."
As I've gotten older and gained more experience, I've started to think a little bit about the next generation and the meaning of my life, and for me, it was like the fog had lifted and I had a total awakening. I can't really explain it well (laughs).
I truly felt that we must pass this on to the future so that everyone can experience such a wonderful moment.
Let's all keep going!
However, I was surprised at how energetic the high school students were, and they showed no signs of fatigue at all.
As my seniors have said, getting older has both good and bad points...!
