『ミューク』は、「優しい、心地よい」というその言葉の意味を彷彿させる柔らかいライン、フォルム、節をいれた自然な素材にこだわり、しかも赤外線を通す機能的な商品として生まれました。
サイズバリエーション
ミュークシリーズ：職人の手仕事
尖った角が無く、丸みを帯びたデザインは小さなお子様にも安心して木のぬくもりに触れさせることができる、やさしさ溢れる家具です。
機械だけでは作れない自然な丸みのつながりを、職人たちがひとつひとつ手作業で作り上げています。
木は水分を含むと多少膨張します。本体の四方に使われている無垢材が膨らんでしまった時に、天板側に影響が出ないよう、木目方向を見極めて向きを決めて取り付けます。僅かな木目の違いを、職人がひとつひとつ見極めていきます。
天板と側板の前面は、ゴム系のボンドを用いて手作業で無垢の面材を貼っていきます。商品の内部はプリント化粧仕上げになっているため、面材がズレてしまったら修正ができません。職人の指先の感覚で、ズレのないように貼り付けていきます。
カットされた材料は、そのままだと欠けてしまいやすいので、手作業で小さく角を落とします。削った面が大きすぎると、組み付けた時に目立ってしまいますので、必要最小限に抑えて削っていきます。
無垢材と合板を接合したら、それらの凹凸を削る作業にかかります。鉋を用いて段差が0.5mm以下になるまで慎重に削り落としていきます。これは、熟練の職人でないと出来ないとても難しい作業です。
鉋でギリギリまで段差をなくしたところを回転サンダーでその段差をほぼ0にします。少しでもやりすぎてしまうと、合板の突き板まで削り落としてしまうため、こちらも熟練された経験が必要な作業です。
天板と・側板の面材のラインが滑らかに繋がるように、研磨していきます。曲面同士が綺麗に繋がるように、手作業で微調節を加えながら削っていきます。
角が丸いデザインで小さなお子様にも安心
本体の周りは、大きく丸みを持たせたデザインになっており、尖った角がない為小さなお子様がいらっしゃるご家庭でも安心してお使いいただけます。
天然木ならではの質感
木にはそれぞれ違う個性があります。
ミュークにはその個性を楽しんでいただくため、あえて「節」の入った突き板を使用しています。
強化紙やプリントと違い、木目・色・節の大きさ・形など全く同じものは2つとありません。それぞれが世界でたったひとつの「顔」を持った家具です。
チーク・マホガニーと並び、「世界三大銘木」の
ひとつと言われるウォールナット材。
木目の美しさや色合い、経年変化したときの深みのある風合いなどから、古くから高級家具や、ヴァイオリン・ピアノなどにも使われてきました。
イギリスで古くから『King of Forest(森の王)』、ギリシャ神話の中では『聖なる木』と呼ばれ親しまれてきたホワイトオーク。
木肌は中程度から粗めの堅い木材で、木目が美しくはっきりしています。
家具だけでなく、ウイスキーやワインの樽の材料としても使われています。
機能的な特徴
扉には、ガラスに突き板を貼った特殊なものを使用していて、扉を閉めたままでもAV機器等の操作をすることができます。
「ごちゃごちゃとした中を見せたくない。」「扉を開けたままだとホコリが気になる。」「操作の度に扉を開け閉めするのが面倒。」等の不満を解消してくれるオリジナルの機能です。
引手は外観の印象を損なわないよう、突起物はつけず中央にすっきりとしたラインでサクリを入れています。
商品の背面も化粧仕上げを施していますので、どこから見てもキレイに仕上がっています。
正面向かって左側には、引き出しが1杯取り付けられています。高級感のある黒の単色シートが貼られた引き出しには、フルオープンレールが付いていますので、開閉もスムーズです。
木は空気中の水分の影響で、多少曲がったり、反ったりします。それを防ぐために、扉に反り止めの無垢板を取り付けてあります。
2枚の扉は、木目が揃うように製材して取り付けてあります。
天板の後ろ側にある配線加工は、引手部分と同じ形状で切り抜いてありますので、統一感のあるデザインになっています。
中央の空間には、可動式の棚板がそれぞれ1枚ずつ付いています。棚板は、3cmずつ高さ調節することができます。
