April 2025 16th Spring Okawa Woodworking Festival [Latest Information]
[Recommended as a spring outing spot]
This year, the furniture town of Okawa will once again be hosting the Spring Woodworking Festival, a festival unique to this furniture production area, for two days on April 12th (Sat) and 13th (Sun), 2025.
SHIKI will also be participating in the event as an exhibitor!
There will also be a woodworking experience that children can enjoy, as well as a raffle with luxurious prizes!
Why not stop by for a day trip with the family or as a spring date spot?
On the day, roads and parking lots will be very crowded, so we recommend coming by public transport.
Even if you come by car, there are shuttle buses from each temporary parking lot, so even if you can't park near the venue, it's okay ♪ Please feel free to come with children ^^
(On the other hand, you may have a better chance of finding a parking spot if you park further away from the venue!)
[About SHIKI's booth]
The SHIKI booth will be located on the second floor of the Okawa Industrial Hall in the main venue.

Once you reach the second floor via the central staircase, go left and when you reach the street with the pillars, turn right. You will see the SHIKI booth on your right! (Look for the booth with lots of greenery!)

[Green Fair to be held]
The annual Green Fair will be held in collaboration with Yoshida Botanical Gardens again this year!
We will be offering new plants that were not available at the last Green Fair! During the two-day event, all of the plants will be one-of-a-kind and available in limited quantities. There will also be many plants in sizes that are easy to take home with you, even if you come by train.

■Extra large agave!
First of all, this is a very large agave! Its plump appearance is very cool!
Yoshida Botanical Garden said that it is rare to see a plant of this size in Kyushu.
This time, it was prepared as a special item for the woodworking festival!
■A beautiful yucca with bold roots!
Next up is the ever-popular Yucca! Look at those roots!
This is a very rare item! This is also a limited edition item for the Woodworking Festival! First come, first served! I want it!
■The trendy variegated variety!
And here is a rare variegated cinnamon gum!
The variegated version is very popular and there is only one of these available, so be quick!
■My personal favorite! Agave atenata
I took photos of them lined up in different sizes, but the biggest one is the Athenata at the back!
It has a great presence and is my personal pick this time around!

| Approximately 10,000 pieces of furniture, interior goods, and miscellaneous goods from local Okawa furniture manufacturers, furniture manufacturers from outside the city, and related businesses such as building materials will be gathered at the Okawa Industrial Hall. A wide selection of local products and specialties from Okawa will also be on display! |
